Last month, Flipkart teased an imminent launch of a new Motorola smartphone, which is likely the Moto Maxx. The launch of the smartphone is now all but confirmed, and according to Times of India, the smartphone will be called ‘Moto Turbo’ in India.
On being asked about the Moto Maxx, Motorola’s India head Amit Boni told the publication, “We will be launching the Moto Turbo for our consumers, which has the latest Qualcomm processor, high-resolution 21-megapixel camera and long-lasting battery life with a 3,900mAh battery, and is built on pure Android for the fastest, most flexible and easiest user experience.” While he didn’t reveal the price, he did say that the price “will be worth it.”
The Moto Turbo aka Moto Maxx was launched in November last year and the smartphone’s USP is the massive 3,900mAh battery. The company claims that it is good enough for up to 48 hours of mixed usage. It also supports Motorola’s Turbo Charger, which is said to provide eight hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.
As far as specifications are concerned, the smartphone features a 5.2-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display with a pixel density of 565ppi, 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage.
Also included are 21-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash, 2-megapixel front camera, and connectivity options like LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, it runs on Android KitKat, which has since been updated to Lollipop.
Motorola’s president and COO Rick Osterloh also reiterated the company’s commitment to the Indian market. “We consider India and Brazil as the first countries when we think about our business, because that’s the future,” Osterloh said. “The market here in India is vibrant, growing incredibly quickly and we believe that we have a great match of our products and product strategy with the Indian market.”
In addition to the Moto Turbo, Motorola is also set to launch the Moto E (2015) and Moto E 4G (2015) in India. It has sent us an invite for a launch event on March 10, where it is expected to take the wraps off the smartphones.
期待已久,继续等待,港版何时上市呀O(∩_∩)O 印度那么多电信运营商,好多都是支持cdma网络的,看来这个版本的turbo可能会支持cdma
